We specialize in individual and family therapy for children, adolescents and young adults (ages 3-22)
Is your child or teen struggling with emotional or behavioral problems? For many young people, individual or family therapy can be beneficial. Therapy sessions provide intervention and support to address many issues, including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Coping skills
- Social skills
- Impulse control
- Behavior
- Anger management
- Family conflict
- General life stressors
Frequently utilized interventions include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness training, exposure therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, behavior management, parent training, and school consultation.
How long is each session?
Therapy sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes. All appointments are considered excused absences, and a school excuse note will be provided as needed.
How many sessions will my child need to attend?
There are many factors that impact how many sessions your child will need to attend. Many interventions take between 8-10 sessions while others may take much longer. Your psychologist will work with your family to create appropriate treatment goals and progress toward these goals will be reviewed at each session.
